I read this message, there is most likely a different version, I have version 2.5.2 there is no such feature, and there is no such field either, where you can specify the path for the local font folder.
What else can I do, except offer you a general solution?

But I guess they will also just refer to the documentary.
Sorry if its sounds a little bit harsh.
Please close the astroid template settings, clear the cache, go to the astroid template again and find your font.

You understand that in version 2.5.2 there is no option to select a custom font to download from a local folder, this feature was removed by the developers for some reason, and no actions with the cache will help here, see the screen of my previous post. Therefore, the question is no longer to the developer, but to the users, maybe there are some other solutions? Who knows, please tell me.

Google fonts from a local folder

I can't recreate your issue. For me it works with version 2.5.2.
Do you use the template zero?
What kind of format does your font have?
there is no option to choose a custom font, this option is not available
Is it possible to download downloaded Google fonts from a local folder instead of from a Google server? I don't want the fonts to be loaded from there. How do I do this?
Close the Astroid template options. That is important because astroid initialises the local fonts on start up.
Go to google fonts, 1001fonts or any other fonts page and download your font in format otf or ttf. Lets say the fonts name is "MyFont".
Login with your ftp client and navigate to the templates folder. e.g. JOOMLAROOT/templates/astroid_template_zero
Create a folder "fonts"
Copy your downloaded font "MyFont.ttf" inside the fonts folder.
Clear your whole joomla cache for saftey.
Reopen the astroid template options again.
Go to typography and search for "MyFont"
Thank you for your advice, but I have already done all this more than once, the template does not see my fonts, I downloaded the necessary Google fonts and put them in the fonts folder. Now I followed your advice, downloaded the polaris font from the site 1001fonts, put it in the right folder, cleared the cache, - no use. The system does not see the fonts.
