In the theme editor tool there is no option for access control. I wish to hide the top social bar on Astroid One for Joomla 4.0 from public access and only show once users are signed in

The easiest solution would be, as you probably know, to create a Joomla (Custom HTML) module with linked icons, set its access level to "Registered" and place it in a module position of your liking (e.g. "footer-1" as per default).

Frankly, I think introducing ACL in template style settings could be confusing to some, lead to errors, or be overlooked by others. IOW, according to J! conventions it seems to be out of place there.
