Hello guys,,

it would be great if there is an element that could handle SQL queries.
I just mean commands like SELECT, WHERE, ORDER BY, COUNT, etc.
Inserting data with INSERT INTO or updating data is not necessary at all.

Example: I want to count the number of enties in a table of a third party component. I have a section with two columns and I want to build a kind of a table. In the left column a content element is used as description. In the right column I can then use the SQL element to display data.

Advantage: you are extremely flexible with JD Builder.
Which other Page Builder can do this? This would enhance the JDB a lot in my opinion.

Currently I have to use alternative modules for an individual query of data records that allow PHP code in the article.

Is this idea feasible?

greetings

Hi,

Totally, I'd be lying if I said, the thought hasn't crossed our mind.
Similar to: docs.joomla.org/Special:MyLanguage/SQL_form_field_type

We are focusing on a few major elements, enhancements and bug fixes to the core of builder and once they are done, our whole focus is going to be working on elements and a lot of them.

Thank you,

Thank you for your reply.

i have now written my own element.
