As I'm having a problem with the favicon not displaying when using Internet Explorer 11, I like to verify the way the favicon is being initialized in the template file.
Can you tell me in which file the favicon is mentioned?

I do suspect that I need to change the code to something like <link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" /> instead of <link rel="icon" href="favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" /> (as that's what's being written on various forums for this strange behavior).

The favicon is displayed correctly in both Chrome and Firefox, so it's strictly limited to the Internet Explorer only.

Hello,

You can find the favicon icon in file path below.
Path: templates/TEMPLATENAME/favicon.ico

Also, what internet explorer version you have installed on your computer?

Thanks

Dear Rahu,

Please read my post carefully, as I'm afraid you misunderstood what I'm asking.
I already placed a new favicon on the proper location, but it's not shown in Internet Explorer 11, where it does show in Chrome and Firefox

Thanks guys for your confirmation.
It must then be something in my local version of InternetExplorer 11 that does this weird thing of not showing the fav icon.
