Hello,

Please follow the steps.

1. (From SCSS file) Open the variables_override.scss file.
path: JoomlaRoot\templates\jd_paris\scss\paris
In this file, you can change the primary & secondary color according to you.
See screenshot: www.screencast.com/t/9YRy9GdFSja

2. (From Astroid Backend) Go to Joomla backend Extensions > Templates > Styles
Open the Template Backend Go to Colors then change the color according to you
See screenshot: www.screencast.com/t/7O6m0KDR

3. Check all the sections settings: You can also set the color in the section in Template Backend

Note: Two templates are used here. Whatever you want to change, you have to change in both templates.

Thanks,
Lalit

Dear Lalit,

First of all, thank you very much for you passion with us "templates amateurs" and always for you professional answers and advices. I downloaded the JD-paris template. I try with your easy instruction (attachment 1) to change the blue top and footer. I put my own color code for the primary color and the result was this (attachment 2).
I would very appreciate if you have the time to help and advise me, how to solve my problem.

Thank you very much and warm regards from Toronto.
Izi

Hello,

You can change the top bar & Footer Background color form Section Settings
docs.joomdev.com/article/astroid-layout-section-settings/

&

You can replace whole Blue color From Theming.

Hey Lalit,

Thank you so much for your help!! I finally managed how to change the colors, but I can still see the blue color. I do not know why? Does that have anything to do with margin and padding? If so, how to handle with it and how to optimizing the parameters? I have really no idea.

Again thank you for your help and take care!

Warm regards
Izi

Hi,

Make sure you have changed the background color from the correct level settings. If there is Margin and Padding being applied you can remove that too, just confirm if there is any custom class for it on Section level.

Thanks,
Nishtha
