Hello,

First of all, thanks for providing this contact form. I'm very happy with the module.

When I check your demo site, I see that the width of the input boxes are very large and adapt to the screen depending on the screen resolution. However when I try to configure the module on my end, the maximum width i can select is "12". How can I have a design that looks like the one on your demo website ?

Thanks upfront for your support.

Best regards,
Peter

Hi Peter,

The width is based on bootstrap grid system, so 12 will give you 100%, 6 = 50% and 3 is equal to 25%.

You can read more about the Bootstrap grid system here:
getbootstrap.com/docs/4.1/layout/grid/

Thanks,
Chetan

Hi,

Thanks for your fast reply. Highly appreciated. I analyzed the situation more closely and it apears it's due to my template. I will wait my template to be updated to the new bootstrap version hoping it will solve the issue.

Best regards,
Peter

Hi Peter,

Have a Look at Astroid and our contact form is full compatible with Astroid. In case you want to switch templates, this might be the time.

demo here: demo.joomdev.com/astroid-framework/

Hello Chetan,

I'm having the same problem with field width. No matter what size I select the fields are no wider than 2 columns. It appears to be happening at the class="form-control" level. See attached.

Thank you,
Jay

Hi Jay,

It looks like you have selected 12 width. Can you post a full screenshot of your backend too? The width is not managed at .form-control level but .jdscf-col-md-12 level instead.

Thanks,
Chetan

Yes, I have all of the fields set to 12. The "form-group" shows as 12 and the label shows as 12. It's just when you get to the input field that it goes down to 2.

My apologies Jay, I overlooked that.

Looks like bootstrap is overriding the CSS for this one and limiting the width 206px or whatever. You'll have to write some Custom CSS to be able to get the width of your choice. I can provide the CSS if you want me to.

Thanks,
Chetan

Chetan,

You're right, it is overriding. I think I can handle the custom CSS but will get back to you if I run into trouble.

You have written an extremely useful contact form module and I'm looking forward to exploring its possibilities. Any time-frame on when the invisible recaptcha will be working?

Best,
Jay

Thanks Jay! It's a team effort, I couldn't do it alone in a million life times if I wanted to.

We have the basic "I am not a Robot" checkbox working in the latest version and are working to get the the rest of Captcha plugins (core or any 3rd party) implemented in the module. You can expect and update early next month (I'd day before the 15th) and we might just have a release.

Thanks,
Chetan
